Learn the ukulele in this 10-week course and find out why it’s called the instrument of joy!

If you’re looking to start your ukulele journey – or you’re just feeling a little rusty – then come along to the Coffs Harbour Library on Thursdays 12.30-1.30pm starting 3 February 2022.

The ukulele is the easiest instrument to learn and you don’t need to have any prior musical experience. In this 10-week Absolute Beginners course, you will learn how to hold and tune the ukulele, the basic chords and simple strumming patterns, plus a bunch of great songs. I guarantee you will be rocking out a song before the first lesson is over!

Anyone who has played in a band or sung in a choir knows the feeling of connection and joy that comes with participating in music. And music has many positive effects on our health and wellbeing – plus it’s a total brain work out. But most of all it’s TONS OF FUN!

The course includes a take-home song book and you can borrow a ukulele from the Library (yes, just like a book)! This is the only Absolute Beginners course I am running in Term 1 and places are limited – so be sure to contact Coffs Harbour Library to book your place: 02 6648 4905.
