So John Paul Young was meant to be coming to Coffs for our local community radio station, 2AIR FM’s birthday celebrations – and the Sawtell Ukulele Group were asked to play. We were requested to put together a Beatles Medley, which we did, but we also thought we’d throw in a little treat for JPY – namely, Love Is In The Air. We even made JPY masks and were so excited (I was madly in love with Squeak as a young girl) but alas, he got a cold and couldn’t make it. But we still rocked it out.
